Once on the main street of a provincial town, squeezed between the desert and the jungle, a charming cheerful stranger appeared, who in just a few days became the favorite of the townspeople and a desired guest in every drinking establishment.

Once settled in the city, the mysterious Don Anselmo unexpectedly began to build a house in the quicksand on the outskirts of the town, and no amount of persuasion could make him abandon his crazy project.
