«Journey to the West» — is one of the four great classical novels of China, first published in the 16th century. This work tells the story of the grand journey to the Western lands for Buddhist sutras undertaken by the monk Xuanzang and his companions: the Monkey King Sun Wukong, the half-man half-pig Zhu Bajie, and the demon Sha Seng. Along the way, the heroes encounter numerous demons and magical beings, as well as endure many trials.

This edition is an adaptation of the novel, including the text in Chinese, its translation, a dictionary of new words, and exercises related to the text with answers.
