In the 230 years of existence of the United States of America, 44 individuals have held the office of the highest leader of this country (let us recall that the 22nd and 24th presidents are the same person). Since the... U.S. Constitution grants the president extraordinarily broad powers and makes him the head of the executive branch, his role in the highest leadership of the country is extremely important. And considering the role that the United States has always sought to play in the world, the personality of any president, without exaggeration, influences the fortunes of the entire global community. Some of "these 44" are regarded by Americans as great statesmen, while others—of which there are quite a few—are seen as accidental figures, politicians, failures, and adventurers.
