«Fairy Gates» by Yu Qi – a manhua in the genres of fantasy, mysticism, and detective – is one of the most popular projects on the Chinese platform Tencent Comics. The plot of this gothic story takes place on the border of two worlds: the human and the abode of demons.
The kingdom of Saint Aris is full of ghosts and evil spirits, but elite warriors of the order «Black Rain» stand guard, and the best among them is Garland Noise.
Garland works alone because he keeps a secret from everyone else – a deadly mark left on him by the powerful demon Asmodeus. The mark slowly poisons him and attracts the attention of evil spirits.
But one day, a talented demon hunter, Duke Hazel Borgia, joins the order and becomes Garland's partner. Hazel's motives are unclear, and his methods questionable, but Garland has to endure because Hazel knows his secret.
Partners or adversaries? Garland must not only unravel a chain of mysterious cases but also find out what game Hazel is playing.
