This collection includes for the first time published in Russian essays by the classic of English literature Aldous Huxley, written from 1931 to 1963. Of particular interest are his reflections on world order and the prospects for societal development, published on the eve of World War II and soon after it.

Huxley not only raises questions that are still relevant today, but also offers solutions that seem utopian at first glance. The collection also contains travel notes, reflections on art, and his transcendent experience.
