The Black City

Hitler lost the war. The protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia is abolished. The German Czechs are given a deadline to disappear completely from the reconstituted Czechoslovakia. A decree from President Beneš, returned from London, prescribes the confiscation of their housing, and personal property is to be transferred to the Czechs. The exodus begins, turning into a 'death march'. Young Erika Gelrod has a chance to safely cross the border and end up in the 'Black City', which Dresden has become, reduced to ruins after the bombings.
