Lieutenant General Mikhail Konstantinovich Diterikhs - a participant in the Russo-Japanese, World War I, and Civil Wars, as well as one of the leaders of the White movement in Siberia and the Far East. When in 1918 the Whites entered... Yekaterinburg, Diterikhs, at the request of Admiral Kolchak, supervised the investigation into the murder of the royal family. In 1922, in Vladivostok, he published a book "The Murder of the Royal Family and Members of the Romanov House in the Urals," in which he not only detailed the course and results of the investigation but also presented a number of his own conclusions. Of course, in the conditions of the Civil War, not all of the general's conclusions were based on documentary evidence, although he did his best to maintain objectivity and consider the established facts. The testimony of a person involved in the events is always of great interest.
