«The Diary of Anne Frank» was published in 1947 in the Netherlands and sold millions of copies worldwide; the book has been translated into dozens of languages. The first Russian edition of «The Diary of Anne Frank» was published in 1960, during the period of «thaw», and for a long time remained one of the few accessible testimonies of the Holocaust for Soviet readers.
