this set, you will find 4 new characters: Nikola Tesla, Annie Christmas, The Golden Mothman, and Jill Trent. And you will also find two villains – Martians and The Mothman, along with several of their minions. All enemies have their own deck of cards that controls them. The game also features initiative cards that determine the order of play. When a player’s initiative comes up, they take 2 actions according to the standard rules, choosing from attack, ability, and maneuver. The enemies move according to their initiative card. First, they determine a target and then attack. If there is no hero or minion in an adjacent square, the enemy moves toward the nearest target. The enemy's speed and attack parameters are indicated on their initiative card, but each villain has additional special rules and their own objectives.
The game ends and the heroes win when the villain's health drops to 0, even if minions remain in the game. But if the villain manages to achieve their objective 4 times, or all the heroes are defeated, the players lose.
By the way, this is a completely standalone part of the Unmatched series. You can play with the heroes from this box in the standard duel mode and vice versa: using heroes from any other parts of the series, you can go through a cooperative adventure against the villains.
