The Lullaby Factory

Somewhere far away, in a land where the earth is carpeted with jasmine petals and the air is filled with the aroma of spices and ash, two women meet. One of them dreams of becoming a mother, but her body, poisoned by the venom of a technological disaster in her childhood, cannot carry a child. The other runs from her home with a child in her womb — without a plan, without support, without confidence in tomorrow. Among the narrow, tangled streets of the city, there is a clinic that has helped women like them for decades: some to find a family, others to gain hope for a better life. But one day, the well-tuned machine malfunctions. Like in the parable of King Solomon, the women find themselves on opposite sides of the truth in a painful dispute: who is the real mother? The one whose body carried the infant? Or the one whose soul is willing to do anything for him? “The Lullaby Factory” is a philosophical mosaic novel about the price of motherhood, justice, love, and freedom. The story is told through the voices of all participants, but the final decision — who is right — will remain with the reader.
