The Scales of Themis

The ancient Greeks revered the goddess Themis, the second wife of Zeus, as the guardian of order, moral foundations, and justice. She embodied justice, incorruptibility, and impartiality. She was always depicted with scales in her hand – a measure of... the balance between good and evil deeds… Nadezhda Lebedeva and her friend, the famous detective novelist Maria Rybnickova, went to the law firm to initiate a plagiarism case. In the lobby, by the marble staircase, they saw the statue of Themis, but… without the famous scales! According to legend, the scales of this statue helped win any case, even the most hopeless one, and now they had mysteriously disappeared. Thus, the friends found themselves caught in a whirlpool of cleverly woven intrigues. And before they reached the solution, they had to unravel a tangle of no less mysterious crimes.
