“In 1991, the editorial office of 'Literary Armenia' accepted my story, but…... the magazine closed down, and the issue with this story was released 25 years later. During this time, I obtained two degrees – engineering and economics, defended my doctoral thesis, and made my way from a student programmer to a director in IT companies. All these years, I didn’t stop dreaming of becoming a writer. And I worked on it. In 2021, I successfully completed the first year of creative writing and continue to learn from professionals.
In 2022, my novella 'Grand Confluence, or the Story of the Trojan Campaign on the Colorado River' received the National Literary Prize 'Manuscript of the Year' from the imprint 'Astrel-SPb'. And now, finally, my book is going to print. I was helped in its creation by the favorite of our family, a shepherd dog of the aussie breed named Latte, of the color 'coffee with milk.'
Almost all the stories in the collection were conceived during morning and evening walks with him, so the main characters of these life stories became not only people, but also – how could it be without them! – dogs.” Artak Oganesyan
