Formally, the country continues to be ruled by the pharaohs of the 20th dynasty, but in reality, all state policy is determined by the priests, and real power belongs to Heryhor — the Minister of War and the High Priest of Amon-Ra. The situation escalates when the young prince Ramses XIII ascends to the throne. Energetic, resilient, and intelligent, the pharaoh dreams of putting the priests in their place, replenishing the state treasury with money from their treasury, stopping the officials' arbitrariness, and alleviating the burden on the common people.
