After the death of investigator Saint-River, everything was supposed to end quietly — an obituary, mourning, and a funeral. But already the next day, his body disappears from the morgue.

The new head of the department is hurrying to put an end to this case. The protocols are signed, further investigation is forbidden. And yet, Penelope and Ethan Hazel cannot back down until the mystery is fully uncovered.

The clues lead them to a strange book, people from the past, and coordinates of places that definitely do not exist on the map. Someone has planned everything in advance. And it seems, they specially left clues for them.
