Atlant and Demiurge. The Church of the Customs Union

End of the 22nd century.
 
The Earth Confederation begins to explore the nearest star systems. Gifted individuals become an influential force: people with strong telepathic abilities. They form an organization called the Church of the Customs Union, and the priests of... the CTC accompany each of Earth's reconnaissance missions when contact with intelligent life is expected. There is only one nuance: if the civilization is assessed as hostile, the priests of the CTC not only have the right but are also obliged to activate the Gift.
 
The two brothers — CTC priest Leonid Vargas and security officer Andrei Vargas — have different views on everything, especially on the use of the Gift. But when Leonid's mission on the planet Sardonyx fails and only fragmented and unreliable information reaches Earth, it is Andrei, accompanied by xenolinguist Linda Swansen, who goes to Sardonyx to investigate what happened. He is searching for his brother. She is searching for her clone.
 
But what will they find on a planet where the sky is decorated year-round with bands of Aurora, where ancient guardian archons are alive, and where the resurrected Atlantis is trying to settle scores with the Demiurge, with Death itself standing behind him?
