Jewish Incunabula

This is the first monographic study dedicated to an exceptionally important period in the history of Jewish culture — the emergence of Jewish printing in Europe in the last third of the 15th century. The work examines the significance of incunabula (first printed editions) in the context of the development of European book culture and Jewish books, and describes the establishment of Jewish incunabulistics as a scientific discipline. In addition, the author analyzes the repertoire of Jewish first printed books and reconstructs the Consolidated Catalog of Jewish Incunabula.
