The novel «Foam» by Nobel laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer (1904–1991) was first published in the New York newspaper «Forward» in 1967 under the pseudonym I. Varshavsky. Under the pseudonym I. Bashevis, it was published in 1971 in the Buenos Aires newspaper «Di presse».
