Foam

The heroes of the novel are a successful businessman with a complicated family life and a criminal past, a sympathetic daughter of a rabbi who supports socialists, a girl medium who deceives clients but believes in her own lies – all are searching for their place in the world, striving for elusive well-being and happiness. 

The novel «Foam» by Nobel laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer (1904–1991) was first published in the New York newspaper «Forward» in 1967 under the pseudonym I. Varshavsky. Under the pseudonym I. Bashevis, it was published in 1971 in the Buenos Aires newspaper «Di presse».
