Tales of Mononoke

The inhabitants of the land of Izanami honor four commandments: live by the heart, work by the mind, respond to good with good, and if you die from injustice, rest in peace. But it's easier said than done. Hundreds of spirits, thirsting for revenge, inhabit Izanami in defiance of its sacred covenant. They are called mononoke, and there is nothing more terrifying than when one of them appears in your home.

If you want to restore peace – pay exorcists or await the mysterious Wanderer. It is said that spirits fear his very name. Young Lady Kyouko Hakuro from a destitute family of hereditary exorcists believes that the only way to restore her family's good name is to surpass the Wanderer. But first, she needs to find him... and convince him to become her teacher.

This is the first part of the new cycle by Anastasia Gor "Tales of Mononoke".
A fantasy detective set in a world inspired by Japanese tales and legends. Yokai, oni, and even gods – a colorful adventure of a fox teacher and his half-blind student, full of dangers and mysteries.
