Board Game - Positiviom in English

Before you is a game for explaining words in a new format! Yes, you will still have 3 ways to explain: with words, gestures, and drawings. But you need to do this… in English! Each card has 5 words in English. We have added a translation for each of them. Draw cards and explain the words in a timed manner.

How to play?

The first player of the team shuffles the cards with the ways of explanation and draws a random card. What method did they get? The player announces it aloud. This is how they will explain the word (with words, gestures, drawings).

Next, they draw the top card from the deck and read the word under the chosen number to themselves. The player's task is to explain this word to their team in the specified way within 1 minute. The opposing team starts the timer during this time.

All guesses and answers given by the team must be in English only. Participants must not give answers in Russian. The explaining player says «yes» for a correct answer and «no» for an incorrect one. To indicate to their team members that their answer is close to the truth, the player can say «close».

• If the team manages to guess the word within 1 minute, they keep the card.
• If the team fails to guess the word within 1 minute, the card goes to the discard pile.

Next, the turn goes to a player from the other team. This player also shuffles the methods and draws any card. It will indicate how to explain. Then they draw a card with words, the time is counted again, and the player explains the word. The game ends when there are no cards left in the deck. Then each team counts the cards they received during the game. The team that collected more cards wins!
