Year 2647. Civilization has reached the highest stage of development, and the blessings of a high-tech world are available to everyone – only if you are not the Leprous. People like them have a biomarker in their blood that awakens... amazing abilities. However, many years ago, there was the Terrible War, and the Leprous nearly caused the extinction of all humanity. Now, upon reaching the age of sixteen, everyone must take a test to confirm the purity of their blood.
Hollis Timewyre dreams of the day of her coming of age, to finally begin to benefit the country. But when the test suddenly reveals a biomarker in her blood, she must flee the city with other Leprous.
Now Hollis is forced to coexist with those she has hated her whole life. However, the stories of the Leprous differ greatly from the history the girl has learned since childhood. Who is lying to her: her parents or her newfound friends? What abilities will manifest in her, and will Hollis ever be able to return home?
