"Harry Potter: Defense Against the Dark Arts" is a dynamic deck-building game for two players, where each round is filled with tense duels. You start with a basic deck, but gradually improve it by acquiring new spell cards, items, and allies. Your goal is to neutralize your opponent by moving their token on the practical exercise board to the "stun" square.
The uniqueness of the game lies in the special mechanics of the houses. Choosing Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Hufflepuff grants you access to special card effects. Allies enhance your capabilities, while curses add an element of surprise. Colorful illustrations, attack and health tokens, and a detailed board create an unparalleled atmosphere of the magical world.
On your turn, you play cards from your hand, applying their effects: attacking your opponent, healing yourself, or acquiring new cards in class and library. Spells and items provide immediate advantages, while allies stay with you throughout the round, strengthening your strategy. Don't forget about the curses – they can turn the tide of the duel! Use seal tokens to buy powerful cards and build a deck that will lead you to victory.
The winner is the one who first "stuns" the opponent three times. After each success, a new round begins: decks are shuffled, tokens return to the start, and the battle ignites again – now with new strengths and strategies!
