Photo Album - This is Navalny

In the album «This is Navalny», there are no staged shots, so we hardly see Alexei at rest. He is always at the center of action — and this very accurately reflects what his political career was like. Here, Navalny... sits in a special detention facility for the first time, escapes from the campaign headquarters to meet voters, rallies supporters at meetings, and listens in despair to the verdict against his brother. He wipes green dye from his face and walks through the snow to the Central Election Commission in the famous photos that have spread around the world; embraces his wife Yulia in frames that have never been published before. 

Evgeny Feldman photographed Alexei Navalny for eleven years. He was as close as possible to Navalny while maintaining his independence. Thanks to this unique perspective, both interested and objective, Alexei looks extremely real in every shot.

Evgeny Feldman is a photographer and photo editor, one of the well-known Russian documentarians. He has published several albums and a book. In 2022, he was forced to leave Russia and is now working on independent projects.
