Initial D — a Japanese manga and anime series about the world of street racing, created by Shuichi Shigeno. The manga was published from 1995 to 2013, and several seasons of anime, feature films, and games have been made based on it.
The plot revolves around high school student Takumi Fujiwara, who delivers tofu every morning in an old Toyota AE86 along the mountain roads of Gunma Prefecture. Unbeknownst to him, he becomes a skilled racer and attracts the attention of street racers. Starting with duels on the Akina Pass, Takumi gradually gets involved in the world of illegal racing across Japan.
