Andrei Kapitsa: Columbus of the 20th Century

Many have never heard of the hero of this book, although he was the son of the great physicist Peter Kapitsa, a well-known geographer who contributed to solving many scientific problems. Andrei Petrovich Kapitsa managed to make one of the most important geographical discoveries of modern times - predicting the existence of a giant freshwater lake under the ice of Antarctica, which justifiably allows us to call him the "Columbus of the 20th century".
