The world literature of the 20th century is impossible to imagine without the name of Ernest Hemingway, the outstanding American writer and Nobel Prize laureate of 1954. His life, shrouded in legends and myths, attracts the attention of readers and... researchers around the world; his works continue to be published, revealing his talent to new generations. In the book by the famous journalist and writer I. A. Mikhailov, many little-known facts about the life of this remarkable man are discussed: his participation in wars, his travels, hobbies, meetings, and friendships with many prominent representatives of the artistic and cultural elite — Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, Pablo Picasso, Ezra Pound, Marlene Dietrich, Ingrid Bergman, and others.
