The creativity of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov marked the highest rise of Russian classical literature, becoming its «business card» for the whole world. The main reason for this is the novelty of Chekhov's works, where behind the external ordinariness of the plot lies the profound drama of human relationships and characters. The interest in Chekhov's personality, which defined the individuality of his creative method, is enormous, therefore new biographies of him are appearing in different countries. The most comprehensive of them to date is the monumental study by the famous literary scholar A. P. Kuzicheva, which illuminates the social activity of the writer, his personal life, and the history of the creation of his works.
