Romulus

This book tells the story of the difficult life and remarkable feats of the first Roman king, Romulus. In early childhood, he and his twin brother Remus lost their mother and were nursed by a she-wolf. Growing up, Romulus overcame many adversities and founded Rome - the Eternal City, which still attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world. Having triumphed in bloody wars against fierce neighbors, Romulus not only established by the force of arms the right of the Roman people to exist, but also laid a strong foundation for the future prosperity of the Roman state. For a long time, researchers unjustly considered the first Roman king to be a fictional hero. Thanks to new data obtained by Italian scientists as a result of archaeological excavations in the center of Rome at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries, it has become clear that the testimonies of ancient authors about the founder of the Eternal City contain reliable information and therefore there is no longer any doubt that Romulus is a historical figure.
