You will learn how often sad life circumstances provided the writer with material for funny stories that we still enjoy reading. The film also includes small excerpts from screen adaptations of A.P. Chekhov's works, providing a visual representation of his literary creativity. These are fragments of the films "The Wedding," "The Jumping Frog," "Anna on the Neck," "Uncle Vanya," and "The Seagull." The film's video footage and the associated audio text offer broad opportunities for teachers and students to engage in discussions during Russian language classes.
