The study aid tells about the classic of Russian literature A.P. Chekhov, whose work was... inextricably linked to Moscow. In the 16-minute film, you will see Moscow at the end of the 19th century with characteristics typical of that time. You will learn how sometimes sad life circumstances provided the writer with material for funny stories that we still enjoy reading. The film also includes small fragments of screen adaptations of A.P. Chekhov's works, providing a vivid representation of his literary creativity. These fragments are from the films "Wedding," "The Jumping Girl," "Anna on the Neck," "Uncle Vanya," "The Seagull." The film's visuals and the corresponding audio text provide broad opportunities for teachers and students to communicate during Russian language lessons.
The reading book consists of two parts. The first part is the text of the film "Chekhov in Moscow" and exercises that help students assimilate the information received. The second part is intended for those who want to know more about the writer and contains texts about the childhood, youth, and mature period of Anton Pavlovich's work. It also includes an adapted story by Chekhov, "The Jumping Girl," which not only represents artistic value but also provides rich study material for those learning Russian as a foreign language.
