Apadana. Volume I. Stories of Buddhas, Paccekabuddhas, and Senior Monks of Buddha Gotama

"Apadana" — one of the books of the Khuddaka Nikaya, part of the Pali Canon. This is a canonical collection of autobiographical poems of the theras (senior monks) and theris (senior nuns) who attained liberation during the time of Buddha... Gotama. In these stories, the senior members of the Sangha of Buddha Gotama narrate from their own perspective their encounters with the numerous Buddhas of the past, speaking about the good and unwholesome deeds that directed them towards liberation or hindered it. Three stories are narrated by Buddha Gotama himself. In this edition, the Apadana is divided into two volumes.
