The «Eranos» Society — an interdisciplinary discussion club, operated in the heart of Europe from 1933 to 2006. The club featured prominent researchers in the fields of science, history, philology, and religion, including M. Buber, M. Eliade, C.G. Jung, I.... Prigogine, and others. Within the framework of this intellectual circle, annual conferences were held. This book includes articles dedicated to the theme of the 1936 conference — mystery cults. The relevance of this topic is based, on the one hand, on a historical-cultural perspective that views mysteries as an exceptional phenomenon in the lives of ancient Greeks; on the other hand, it is related to the revival of the Jungian school, which focuses on the search for and comparative analysis of archetypes reproduced in cultures of various epochs and regions. For students and teachers of philosophy, cultural studies, psychology, and other humanitarian disciplines.
