"Everyday English" is the second textbook of the methodological complex designed for in-depth study of the English language by students of humanitarian universities and schoolchildren. A brief description of the textbook "Textbook-Reference-Dictionary" reflects its main distinguishing feature - a wide range and multi-aspect of the offered educational material. Thematic texts, detailed thematic dictionaries, various lexical and speech exercises, and dialogues are grouped around topics relevant to everyday communication. The textbook presents the following topics: Introduction, Family, Appearance and Character, Home, Health, Travel, Food, Shopping, Household Services, Leisure, Work. The structural organization of each topic maximally promotes the activation of various types of speech in diverse communicative conditions, taking into account the audience and communication situation. Numerous speech exercises of different types are aimed at creating spontaneous reactions and ensuring the reliable memorization of vocabulary and phraseology. The textbook offers lively and diverse textual material from works of English and American writers, filled with necessary vocabulary and colloquial constructions. For educational purposes, the texts have undergone necessary abbreviations. The dialogues, which form an important part of the teaching material, are also predominantly based on original material. The pages of the textbook widely represent the realities of modern life, with special attention paid to the cultural features of the countries of the studied language. The compilation of this textbook is based on the experience of several modern foreign and domestic publications.
