The fundamental work of Russian historian Alexander Dmitrievich Chertkov (1789–1858) is dedicated to the war waged against the Bulgarians and Byzantines in 967-971 by the outstanding Russian commander Prince Svyatoslav Igorevich (920/942 – 972).
