Alexander Chayanov. Peasant Utopia

The book is about what will happen to us after the decree on the resettlement of megacities is adopted. At the center of the study is Russian economist, builder of the cooperative movement, and writer of the first half of the 20th century Alexander Chayanov and his vision of future life. The authors examine Chayanov's phantasmagoric tale "The Journey of My Brother Alexei to the Land of Peasant Utopia" in the context of contemporary social research and conversations with practitioners and theorists of new life in Russia — entrepreneur Yuri Uskov, architect Artem Ukropov, and many others.
