Before you is a new book by grandmaster, experienced coach, and chess researcher Alexander Galkin. In it, the author has studied a large body of relevant chess information (all examples from 2023 and 2024), classified and commented in detail on... endgame examples from the games of modern grandmasters. He identified characteristic features and theoretically significant positions that a qualified chess player needs to know. A significant part of the proposed material is dedicated to exchanges. This is a rather complex and relevant problem in the practice of chess players of all levels. It needs to be studied in order to correctly assess the consequences of exchanges at all stages of a chess game.
