Compass and Blade. Book 1

On the remote island of Roseweir, the inhabitants engage in shipwrecking. They lure ships onto the rocks and then sail to the wrecked hulls to take anything of value. But only Mira saves the survivors, if there are any. For she does not feel the cold of the ocean waters and understands the songs of the waves.
To put an end to these crimes, the law enforcers arrest Mira's father. Desiring to save him from death, the girl makes a deal with a stranger and sets out to search for her mother's inheritance. 
The maritime law is harsh: the sea gives a lot and takes a lot. Mira will have to do what is necessary to save those she loves.
