Shard of Karafuto

1945. A girl named Ayako lives on Karafuto (the Japanese name for Sakhalin), but soon her family has to leave the island, leaving all their belongings behind. Like other Japanese people, they buried their dishes in the forest, hoping to return someday. 2025. Marisha lives on Sakhalin and one day finds a shard of an old Japanese cup. The girl's mother makes a decoration out of it. In an incredible way, the hare painted on the piece of porcelain travels through time and returns to its first owner.
