An amazing tale about a robot named Roz, who ended up on an uninhabited island. The story begins with a shipwreck. The ship caught in a storm sinks with its cargo - numerous crates carefully packed with hundreds of robots. Gradually, the debris is washed ashore by the waves to a lost island in the endless waters. All the crates shattered against the coastal rocks, but one of them survived and ended up on the beach. It was found by curious sea otters. Roz opened her eyes and looked around. She was on the island. She didn’t know how she got there, why she was there, or what to do. But she understood that she needed to learn to survive. Roz is a helper robot; she is incredibly capable of learning quickly, analyzing, and applying her new skills. Gradually she understands the importance of befriending the local inhabitants, the numerous and diverse animals. But how can she do that if they are afraid of her?

In the end, Roz managed to learn the language of the animals, find a family and friends, and understand the meaning and purpose of her existence. Moreover... she became the best mom to a little caterpillar named Brightbeak.
