It was a strange vacation for the press center employee of the Internal Affairs Directorate, Katya Petrovskaya. Together with her husband Vadim Kravchenko and their friend Sergey Meshchersky, they arrived at a Baltic resort and on the very first day became witnesses to a fierce and mysterious murder. This was just the beginning - a few days later, a teenage girl was found dead. As Katya discovered, such "incidents" involving young girls are not new here. But the killer, like a ghost, leaves no traces. Moreover, there are local legends about the Water Sprite, who takes revenge on people, with his wet footprints regularly found on the church floor. The three of them - Katya, Meshchersky, and the local resident Marta - calculated the killer. Only Meshchersky, at the moment of realization, was fishing at sea, while Katya and Marta found themselves face to face with a crazed maniac...
