One Thousand and One Nights. Selected Tales, Stories and Novels

The collection of tales from the peoples of the East "One Thousand and One Nights", which was finally formed by the 17th century, enjoys extraordinary popularity to this day. This collection includes the best, world-famous works of Indo-Iranian, Baghdad, and... Egyptian storytellers, such as "The Caliph for a Day", "The Tale of Sinbad the Sailor", "The Story of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp", translated from Arabic by M. A. Sallye (1899-1961) and commented on by the literary scholar and Arab historian I. M. Fil'shtinsky (1918-2013).
