Sotnikov. Obelisk

A partisan unit lost in the depths of the Belarusian forests needs food, warm clothes, and medicines. Two fighters set out for a food raid — former army sergeant Rybak and artillery officer Sotnikov, who worked as a school teacher before the war. Facing a patrol, the partisans are captured and must make a choice: betray their comrades and save their lives or remain silent and face death with dignity. This edition also includes the novella "Obelisk," which tells the tragic fate of a simple village teacher who joined the partisans during the war but voluntarily surrendered to save his students.
