But reality contrasts with his fantasies, and the Knight of the Sad Countenance, as his squire dubbed him, finds himself in absurd situations time and again: he challenges a flock of sheep, liberates captured bandits, and suffers defeat in a battle against windmills. Intended as a parody of chivalric romances, 'Don Quixote' has been translated into all major languages of the world and included in the 'World Library' as the 'best book of all time and peoples.'
