The Art of Circuit Engineering. Theory and Practice

This unique book on circuit engineering contains not only theoretical material but also a full course of laboratory work. It thoroughly examines the application of analog devices (passive elements, transistors, operational amplifiers), digital devices (logic elements, triggers, counters, PLMs, memory, ADCs, DACs, PLLs), and microcontrollers. Each of the 25 lessons consists of two parts: a theoretical summary and a laboratory exercise. The lesson begins with an examination of a particular circuit, after which students are asked to implement it in practice and study its functionality. The lessons include examples with solutions and additional explanations. The hardware description language Verilog is discussed. The appendices provide general information on oscilloscopes, communication lines, chip pinouts, software, etc., as well as advice on selecting components and equipment. The book includes very little mathematics, focusing primarily on an intuitive approach and practical skills.
