Scratch is a programming language and a visual development environment created specifically for learning the basics of programming. It is a powerful tool with a low entry threshold that enables the mastery of algorithmization, stages of design, and the development of software products, as well as the application of programming to solve a wide range of tasks. 

This book uses the third, main, and current version of Scratch.
