Chains of Eymeric

Year 1365. Nicholas Eymeric lives in Avignon, at the court of Pope Urban V. He is sent to the town of Châteauneuf, where, as the local count suspects, the Cathars have appeared. The news brings considerable surprise to Eymeric, as... the last preachers of this doctrine were burned many years ago. Additionally, strange rumors circulate that there are real monsters in abundance there, which Father Nicholas witnesses himself as soon as he arrives on the scene. During World War II, Nazi biologist Jakob Graf makes a terrifying discovery capable of changing the very essence of humanity. The echo of his design will resonate throughout the 20th century, paradoxically intertwining with the investigation conducted by a medieval inquisitor in the distant 14th century.
