Stalingrad Epic. Testimonies of Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus. 1939—1943

The compiler of the book, historian Walter Görlitz, presented notes from Paulus's personal archive, in which the field marshal describes his activities in the General Staff of the Army as commander of the 6th Army. Of great interest are the records of the preparation for Operation «Zeeleve» and the tactical exercises in the process of developing the «Barbarossa» plan. In addition, Görlitz supplemented the book with materials on the history of the Battle of Stalingrad. Among them are teletype negotiations and recordings of Wehrmacht officers (Field Marshal von Bock, Colonel General Richthofen, Lieutenant General Arthur Schmidt and others).
