War of Intelligence. Secret Operations of Germany's Special Services

The memoirs of Reinhard Gehlen – an officer of the intelligence service of the Hitler army during World War II and the creator of a secret intelligence organization in West Germany – allow the reader to view the historical events of the 1940s to 1960s from the opposite side of the front – both military and ideological – and from behind the Iron Curtain. This is both a reliable historical document and a fascinating narrative about what was hidden behind dry military reports and official German propaganda. The book is characterized by impartiality and accuracy of assessments.
