Myths of the Russian People

The book gathers the heroes of the myths and legends of Ancient Rus. Alkonost and Perun, Leshy and Kikimora, Cat Bayun and Domovoy have coexisted with people since ancient times. The lives of these restless spirits were closely linked to human life. Sometimes they helped in affairs, and sometimes they caused harm, playing pranks. The most popular myths of the Russian people were collected by the famous folklorist Georgy Markovich Naumenko, and the contemporary artist Ivan Antonovich Tsygankov illustrated them.
