Memories of the Marshal. Complete Version

Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky (1896–1968) was one of the "authors" of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In the late years of his life, Rokossovsky acted as the author of a book dedicated to the most important stages and battles of the war. Published soon after his death, the memoirs became the last "soldier's duty," honorably fulfilled by the marshal.
Soviet censorship cut or rewrote almost half of the manuscript. The present publication reproduces the author's text in full. It is supplemented by letters and photographs from the family archive, many of which are published for the first time, as well as a preface by Ariadna Rokossovskaya, the marshal's great-granddaughter. The book will be of interest to anyone interested in national and military history.
