Dubliners. Early Prose

This book is a collection of the artistic prose of James Joyce, written before his main work, the novel "Ulysses".

It includes a cycle of prose sketches "Epiphanies", the novel "A Portrait of the Artist", and the unfinished opus "The Hero Stephen".

All texts are published in the translation of S.S. Khoruzhiy, and his concluding article depicts the world of early Joyce in his inner life, his aesthetic and existential impulses: as a remarkably independent, unique creative world, in which the artist, in his youth, following his own "vector of Joyce" and comparing it with the "vector of Flaubert", moved towards the peak of "Ulysses".
