You have before you not just a speech therapy manual, but a whole system of cards.
On the cards are a variety of tasks for automating the sounds [s], [z], [ts] in speech. The cards are convenient to use both during... speech therapy sessions and for reinforcing correct pronunciation at home after classes, during vacations, and while traveling. Instructions for using the cards can be found in the preface.
The words and tasks on the cards are grouped:
• by the degree of complexity of the syllable structure,
• depending on the position of the sound to be automated in the word,
• by the presence of sounds that do not cause difficulties in pronunciation.
Working with the cards will help reinforce correct pronunciation, expand vocabulary, and develop phonemic awareness, including for the prevention of dysgraphia. Speech development is the best preparation for school!
